Develop skills sought by a range of sport and fitness employers and benefit from hands-on experience - designing fitness programmes and learning about human anatomy and how it responds during exercise.
Your study programme will support personal development to ensure you make good progress and acquire the skills required for successful progression to higher education, employment or an apprenticeship.

Entry requirements
For A-level programmes: 6 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (to include 3 GCSEs at grade 9-4 and 3 GCSEs at grade 9-5). Require grade 9-4 in English Language and Maths.
For A-level Physical Education: Grade 9-6 Combined Science OR Grade 9-6 Biology & Grade 9-6 in one other Science. A-level Biology must also be studied unless agreed with Head of Curriculum. Regular participation in competitive organised sport – to a good standard.

This course focusses on all aspects of sport from science related topics such as exercise physiology right through to nutrition and coaching. This two year course is designed to give you an all-round experience of the sport sector.
This course covers everything from looking after customers to job seeking activities and work experience with a local retailer. What’s more, it is also a great way to get back into studying if you haven’t done anything for a while, even since school.
On this 10-week course you will learn all the essential principles and practices of training assessment and quality assurance, including assessing competence and achievement.
Develop as a highly qualified effective and confident teacher of physical education with the knowledge and skills to put innovative teaching approaches into practice to achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
This qualification provides learners with an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment.
