This is a QAA approved Access to HE Diploma covering 45 graded credits in three subjects (Chemistry, Biology and Physics) and 15 ungraded credits in Developmental modules.
The graded units include content in psychology (e.g. Aggression, Mental Health, Biopsychology of Stress) and health studies (Health Promotion, Psychological Trauma, Dementia Care and Treatment).
Progression
Successful completion of the course will enable progression onto various degree courses with the opportunity to study at Master's level and beyond. A number of students go on to study at Russell Group universities.
Assessment
Assessment is in the form of essays, booklets, presentations, reports, debates and time-constrained assignments. There is no end-of-year assessment for this course.
Entry Requirements
Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
