Accident Incident Reporting & Investigation

This course will equip delegates who have a responsibility for the health and safety of others, with the knowledge and tools to investigate and report accidents and incidents that occur at work. 

The course is a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, during which delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training programme content.

Course Content:

• By the end of the training programme delegates will be;
• - Familiar with the relevant regulations and the reporting requirements of those regulations
• - Aware of the correct methods of investigating an accident incident thoroughly and effectively
• - Able to gather evidence and interpret findings logically and methodically
• - Aware of the need for efficient evidence collection and the correct methods of storing and protecting evidence
• - Capable of completing samples of relevant documentation
• - Able to interview and take statements from witnesses
• - Familiar with the basic causes of accidents and incidents.
