IIIT is a programme study centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for the conduct of counseling sessions for theory and practical for their computer courses, CIT, BCA & MCA as a part of their various distant education programmes. 

These sessions are conducted on Saturdays & Sundays. IGNOU is a central university established by Government of India. MCA&BCA degrees are approved by UGC, MHRD & Kerala PSC.

IIIT is authorized centre of C-DIT (Centre for Development of Imaging Technology) under Govt. of Kerala. The certificate issued by C-DIT is suitable for the appointment in Government services. 

Kerala public service commission has recently issued order for approval of C-DIT diploma courses in computer application as a recognized IT qualification for the posts in Government sector.
