This exciting new short course introduces you to the industry standard desktop publishing package InDesign. Have you ever wanted to create a newsletter or a magazine, make your own birthday cards or flyer or even an ebook?
You will learn the basics of InDesign and this will allow you to create your own layouts and styles.
Course Length
20 Guided Learning Hours. Courses are usually 1 x 2hrs per week.
Who is this Course for?
Adults (19+) who would like to develop their computer and graphics skills for everyday life, move on to a qualification course in this subject or wish to embark on a career in this area.
Will I gain any Qualification?
No, this is an introduction course. However All our Digital Skills courses embed development of study, English, maths and job skills to help prepare you for study at higher levels and improve work prospects.
Do I need Any Prior Knowledge, Skills or Qualifications?
Your English, maths and IT skills will be assessed before you join the course to make sure that the course is the right level for you. The expectation is that you have Level 1 in English, math and IT skills.

At the end of the course, your tutor will check your skills to see what you are ready to do next: After this course you could move on to a qualification course such as Graphic Design Level 1 or Computer Aided Design Level 1.

Since August 2019 its funding has come through the West Midlands Combined Authority and learners on some courses also pay fees towards the full cost of their course. Around 13,000 adults study each year with adult education.

Our friendly, experienced Adobe trainers will quickly get you using InDesign confidently and share lots of tricks that they’ve learned over the years. This is a hands-on course. It includes lots of time to practise and try things out for yourself.
This Adobe InDesign CC Intermediate course is designed to give you the necessary skills to create complex documents and work with a variety of palettes and tools to further understand the capabilities of this high-end design application.
