These are fun to make, and you'll come away with the know-how, and a pattern made exclusively for you, so you can design more for yourself. You'll also gain greater knowledge of knit fabrics to feel confident when shopping for future projects - for you or to give as gifts.

Prerequisites
This class is for anyone who already knows how to sew, or the confident beginner who knows how to use a sewing machine and basic sewing techniques.
Tools & Supplies
You will need:
4-way stretch knit fabric with at least 50% stretch (54" or 60" wide)
Jersey / Ballpoint / Stretch machine needle
Sewing machine - Please review the tools & supplies list carefully for any machine hardware requirements or contact us with any questions.
Sewing kit:
Pins or clips
Pin cushion (if you're using pins)
Scissors
Snips
Seam ripper
Fabric markers or chalk
Measuring tape
Ruler
Cutting mat
Rotary cutter
Extra sewing machine needles

Fabric requirements will vary based on sizes. I will help guide you on the necessary fabric after registration.

You've pieced it. You've quilted it (or someone has). Now you're ready to finish this puppy!! Come learn how to make binding and bind a sample quilt using your sewing machine (as well as some hand stitching) and have it turn out beautifully!
Knitting course is offered by The Joy of knitting. The Joy of Knitting is Franklin's boutique yarn shop and home away from home. A place to find fine.
The intent of the KAL / CAL is to enable participants to try out a new skill, design, technique, or yarn type. Most of the designs selected are for advanced beginners and up. We encourage everyone to push their skills a bit and suggest you try a project or two.
