The Samarpana Institute of Dance was established in 2010, and offers Bharathanatyam and Nattuvangam classes in Blacktown, Sydney.
Samarpana, meaning “dedication” is a dance school that offers the essence of the ancient art form of Bharathanatyam. It was established in 2010 by dancing duo and life partners, Suresh and Shobana. At Samarpana, the individuality of each student is nurtured, while they are trained in the intricacies of Bharathanatyam.
Students of Samarpana also learn to appreciate the aesthetics and rich cultural heritage of the art form. Bharathanatyam is the oldest classical dance form of India, originating from Tamil Nadu, over 2000 years ago.
Experience fusion dance styles of various Indian folk dance forms such as Bhangra, Garba, Lavni & more infused with Bollywood dance hits. Best suited to beginners to intermediate levels.
This class is upbeat so you will work up a sweat! This class is so much fun that you will get a total body workout without even realising.
Our Kids Bollywood classes give children an introduction to basic Bollywood technique combined with funky Western moves. Children develop skills in movement, coordination, musicality and confidence.
The classes emphasise fun, fitness and fellowship in a community atmosphere. Everyone’s welcome, even if you’ve never danced before.Â
