Your School of Beauty Culture, then known as Mildred's Beauty College, originated on the West Side of Chicago, IL on June 1st, 1966.
Mildred's Beauty College operated successfully from 1966 - 1979 until the founder, Dr. Mildred Dixon, fell ill. After graduating more than 1,200 cosmetologists.
In 1980, Dr. Dixon decided to temporarily close her business to get her health in order. In 1988, due to the overwhelming request from former students, clients, and aspiring stylists Dr. Dixon re-opened her school and in honor of the community.
And their support she renamed it "Your School of Beauty Culture". In 1997, Your School of Beauty Culture moved to its present location in the Chicago's historic Bronzeville community and continues to add to its success.
The Esthetician program consists of theory and practical training in the arts and sciences of facials, make-up applications, body treatments, hair removal, retailing, equipment care, business management, etc.
Students who complete the program and earn their license as an Esthetician pursue careers in spas, salons, the hospitality industry, cruise ships, patient careers, and business ownership.
Our esthetician school requires the satisfactory completion of 750 hours of training. This will entitle you to take the Tennessee State Board of Cosmetology Examination for the Tennessee Esthetics License.
CEI offers the Georgia state approved 1000 hours of training in the area of esthetics.
