What languages are available
Classes are offered based on student enrolment numbers. Any language may be offered for which there are 25 students and an available instructor. Languages potentially offered include:
Learn American Sign Language (ASL), the most commonly used sign language for Deaf communities in Canada
In this program, you progress toward ASL fluency, study Deaf culture and explore the cross-cultural issues that arise for non-Deaf people who wish to work with the Deaf community.
Here at Carleton we have a strong ASL program.
This is an introductory class with a focus on signing the alphabet, numbers, commonly used pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and simple phrase of two or three words
Students practice sequencing activities by using proper clauses.
