Students learn to use OpenToonz, a free software used by famed animation studio Studio Ghibli (Ponyo, My Neighbour Totoro)
BEGINNER: Learn the interface and navigation of OpenToonz to create short sequences, building skills in character, background and audio to eventually produce their own their own short animation in Term 4 production term.
ADVANCED: Simulating an animation studio environment, students will work individually to contribute to the production of a single animated project.
Since 2003, we’ve taught Screen Acting, Film-making, Animation and Game Design to young people aged 7-18yrs, plus a range of other holiday, school & community workshops.
“The Filmbites Way” is to teach screen skills in a nurturing environment that enhances practical skill development, and the essential ‘soft skills’ of the future – creativity & communication.
