Asbestos and asbestos-containing material (ACM) is a designated substance which poses long-term health risks to workers when it is disturbed. Our course is designed for constructors, employers, supervisors, and workers involved in building maintenance, repair, or alteration.
It is a requirement that all employees who perform work that could disturb asbestos be able to identify potential asbestos-containing material, the health risks associated with exposure, and the necessary precautions to be taken when working around asbestos.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Identify health risks
Explain requirements for type 1, 2 and 3 (glove bag procedures)
Explain personal protective equipment (PPE)
Identify the need for decontamination and personal hygiene
