Asbestos Removal Course Information
According to the OHS Act and Regulations, asbestos removal work involving non-friable asbestos-containing material (ACM) must be performed by a Class A or Class B licensed person if:
the area of ACM to be removed exceeds 10 square meters in total, or
the total time over which asbestos removal work is performed in any period of seven days exceeds one hour (this period is the cumulative total time the asbestos removal work is carried out by all employees over a period of seven days).
According to clause 88 of the WorkSafe Victoria’s Compliance Code “Removing asbestos in the workplace”, refresher training should be conducted for Class B removalists every 2 years.

What you will learn
Non-friable asbestos removal training covers topics such as prepare for asbestos removal, prepare asbestos removal area and removal site, isolate removal site, carry out the asbestos removal process, carry out decontamination process, clean up the worksite, contribute to and use documentation in line with regulatory requirements
The course consists of PowerPoint theory presentation, videos, practical activities and end of the day practical and theory assessments.
