Have you been asked to join the assessment team in your company? Or are you planning to strike out on your own as a learning consultant? Being an accredited assessor is a must!

 

How will I learn?

We begin by exploring the assessment landscape, unpacking the stages of assessment. You will then explore the process of planning, conducting and reporting on assessment through a series of interactive exercises.

This is not a sit passively and listen type workshop! We practise the tricky skills of fair assessment through a series of roleplays, giving you the chance to make mistakes and learn from them. Best of all, you build your Portfolio of Evidence as you go.

3 Unpack a unit standard

  •  Draw up an assessment plan and a planning checklist

 

5 Prepare the candidate and collect evidence

  • Prepare a candidate for fair assessment
  • Gather the knowledge and performance evidence

 

6 Judge and give feedback

  • Make a judgement based on VACs
  • Give fair feedback

 

7 Record and evaluate

  • Store the records required by SAQA and the SETAs
  • Evaluate the assessment process
