Autodesk Fusion Essentials - Training

Students are introduced to the fundamental principles of 3D parametric modelling on Fusion 360. Students will learn how to import existing 3D models in the Fusion 360 platform and collaborate on 3D models online.

Students will learn how to convert their Designs into Assembly models for Kinematic analysis and parts list creation.Students will learn how to manage their designs online, export 2D and 3D files for downstream use, and create 2D drawings from 3D models.

This course covers the essentials of 3D design for new users of Autodesk Fusion360®.

Prerequisites:

Some design or engineering experience. It is recommended that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft or Mac operating systems.

• Understand the fundamental concepts, workflows, and benefits of 3D design using Fusion 360.
• Locate and navigate the Fusion 360 user interface and the multiple design and documentation environments.
• Create projects and manage your designs online.
• Start designing simple parts using parametric modelling tools.
• Turn multibody models into Assembly models for kinematic analysis and parts list creation.
• Collaborate on designs using Fusion’s online tools.
• Create basic engineering drawings from 3D part models.
• Annotate drawings and add notes, symbols, and tables.
• Update drawings as changes are made to the 3D model.
