Parentwood Baby and Family Wellness Centre is situated against the beautiful background of Rietondale Park. We offer comprehensive care to families from the time that they fall pregnant through their children’s early childhood years.
Parentwood was started in 2013 by registered nurse and clinic sister Kristel Steyn-Battheu. The practice was started as a second branch of Netcare Femina Hospital’s Stork’s Nest Clinic.
The birth of Parentwood provided us with the much-needed space to assist more mothers with their well-baby visits, and to host our support groups, courses and workshops.

The courses run from her studio, focus on helping you explore your own feelings about birth and parenting.
Young children who experience a stimulating and nurturing environment are more likely to develop strong thinking, social, emotional, and language skills and behaviours. These will become the driving force behind their personal, social and economic success.
This course is for practitioners providing parenting education, support, or counselling to parents of young children.
The course offers information regarding different aspects of childbirth suited to the different needs of individuals, while covering other important topics from breastfeeding to life with a newborn.
