The BBRE is a part-time post–diploma degree completion program allowing industry professionals to continue their careers while advancing their formal education beyond the diploma level.
The Bachelor of Business in Real Estate has been developed in a collaborative effort between the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia, the University of British Columbia (UBC), Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning (TRU-OL) and the Real Estate Foundation, with ongoing support from the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC).
The BBRE is a part-time post–diploma degree completion program allowing industry professionals to continue their careers while advancing their formal education beyond the diploma level. The BBRE is delivered by distance education methods and is offered by both UBC and TRU-OL .
The program builds upon the foundation of the Diploma in Urban Land Economics or equivalent plus additional real estate, general education, business and elective courses. The real estate courses and several of the business courses will be delivered by the Real Estate Division, while an agreement with TRU-OL will enable students to obtain the required general education and business courses by distance education.The curriculum has been developed in consultation with the real estate industry to ensure it meets the accreditation requirements of various professional associations.
UBC Sauder is accredited by AACSB, which provides internationally recognized, specialized accreditation for business and accounting programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.
AACSB Accreditation is known worldwide as the longest standing, most recognized form of specialized accreditation an institution and its business programs can earn.
