DurationBACAS and its Department of Costume Design and Fashion are well known in the academic circles of Costume Design and Fashion (CDF). As a matter of fact, the Bharathiar University syllabus for the course was framed in consultation with the CDF department of BACAS.

Special Features
Internship
Students are required to do 15 days internship in a garment export unit and Processing unit.
The department encourages and supports the students to participating in the designer contests and fashion shows. The students participated in the "India Design Contest 2016", an international designer contest and won the 3rd Place. They also participated in “The International Coir Fashion show” and won the winners award.
The department regularly organises special seminars / workshops and industrial visits

Cindrebay’s BSc Costume Design degree course is a three - year programme which gives students a platform to learn about India’s rich and diverse fashion heritage along with past and current international trends.
Apeejay Institute of Design offers Graduate Design Programme - Fashion Design. "A Premier Design Institute of the Country" with a mission to nurture and promote "Art, Culture and Design".
The B.Des course starts with a common foundation year for all the designing students. They are taught the basic skillset in design, fundamentals of design, principles, and elements of design, sketching, perception, model making, and projects, history of design, etc.
B. Des in Fashion design is a unique program which provides its graduating students with employable skills for the industry or start their entrepreneurial journey in Fashion and design industry.
