Duration

Full-Time:12 months (5 days per week, 3 hours each)

Part-Time: 16 months (2 days per week, up to 3 hours each)

This course is the equivalent of the second half of a UK, three-year honours degree and includes 180 credits.

Entry Requirement

Minimum Age: 20 years of age in the year of application

 

Minimum Academic Qualifications

  • Auston Higher Diploma in the relevant field; or
  • A polytechnic of PEI Diploma from relevant major; or
  • Transfer Applicants
  • Transfer applicants with other equivalent qualifications based on Singapore criterion may be given exemptions on academic qualifications

 

Mature Candidates

At least 30 years of age and 8 years of working experience may be admitted on a case by case basis with a minimum of 10 years of formal education and certificates that is deemed equivalent by the Academic Board.

 

English Proficiency

  • C6 or better for O Levels
  • IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
  • CEFR B2 or higher

 

Fee Structure

Part Time

  • Application Fees: $108
  • Course Fees: $22,104.80

Full Time

  • Application Fees: $270 + $30* (VISA Processing Fees Payable to ICA)
  • Course Fees: $21,492

Career Opportunities

Control Automation Lead

  • Direct activities of an integrated hardware/software systems oriented products

  • Design and develop electronic and electro-mechanical equipment

  • Conduct feasibility studies on engineering proposals

  • Collect operational data and prepare customer application information

  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of this function.

Mechatronic Engineer

  • Perform and accomplish research and development of prototype through to production

  • Apply latest technologies in new automation prototype and product development

  • Specify, develop, test, analyse, and improve the existing mechatronic system

  • Adopt current industry standards/methodology to work.

 

Salary Information2019 Auston Graduates from this course report an average monthly salary of $4750 after graduating. Glassdoor.sg reports that Mechanical Engineers earn about $50,790 annually as base salary and Mechatronic Engineers earn about $3,500 per month (Glassdoor.sg, 31 Mar 2021)
