The Dance Academy is thrilled to be embarking on our thirteeth season of dance in St. John’s. The Dance Academy was established in 2009 with the vision of providing quality dance instruction where students can learn the art of dance while enhancing social skills and self esteem.
We strive to provide every child with movement experiences which are meaningful and enjoyable, while enhancing motor skill development, social skills and an overall focus on an active, healthy lifestyle.
This is a pre-ballet class. Watch your little one explore their magical imaginary world, whirling in space, and gleaming with a new passion for dance!
Three’s a charm! Learn ballet, jazz, and tap all in one class! This class is designed for dancers to develop a wide range of dance education to help continue to develop and explore their rhythm, patterns, musicality, and movement.
Emotion is the wellspring of the expressive gesture in modern dance, in contrast to the aestheticism and virtuosity of classical ballet.
Class consists of barre and center work to strengthen and prepare for possible routine construction. This class will be offered at the teacher’s discretion. A full season ballet class & a ballet technique class is also required.
It allows the classes of other forms of dance, such as: jazz, contemporary, to move at a faster pace as the dancers already know the required foundation steps learned in ballet.
