  • 1. Introduce, elaborate and validate, methodology, value and purpose of the course,(arouse interest). Overview of its scope, and empowering capacity in ever widening horizons.

  • 2. Activity: Short paragraph writing. 100 words, of a given topic, evaluate, point out areas of opportunity. HA: Read news paper article and write summary.

  • 3.1 Check and correct HA.

  • 3.1 Free speech or conversation: Punctuated with corrections/appropriate usage real-time.

  • HA: Perform given exercises based out of above activity.

  • 4.1 Check and correct HA

  • 4.2 KC: Identifying parts of speech

  • 4.3 Elaborate on one part of speech. Activity on the same

  • 4.4 HA: Vocabulary ex. Pick 10 new words from news paper or TV check meaning and make sentences.

  • 5.1 Check and correct HA

  • 5.2 KC of yesterday’s lesson

  • 5.3 Introduce next part of speech

  • 5.4 Vocabulary ex same subject

  • 5.5 HA: Write a short story paying close attention to lessons learned.

  • 6.1 Check and correct HA

  • 6.2 Introduce third part of speech, (activity or lesson.) Vocabulary ex of same.

 

HA: Paragraph writing.

  • 1.1 Check and correct HA

  • 1.2 Introduce fourth part of speech (if possible) else review first three and relevant activity. HA: TBD

  • 2.1 Check and correct HA

  • 2.2 Introduce fifth part of speech. Vocabulary activity around same part of speech

  • 2.3 Conversation (time permitting). HA: Vocabulary ex of the same part of speech.

  • 3.1 Check and correct HA

  • 3.2 Introduce sixth part of speech. Vocabulary ex around the same.

  • 3.3 Review all six parts of speech in preparation for first assessment. HA: Prepare for oral and written assessment.

 

Assesment. (spoken and written)

  • 1.1 Consolidate areas of opportunity and keep informed all concerned, the assessment performance

  • 1.2 Review parts of speech (30 min). Conversation or GD.

  • 1.3 Impart feedback on progress so far based on assessment. HA: Pick 10 sentences, identify each part of speech.

  • 2.1 Check and correct HA

  • 2.2 Activity identifying parts of speech from news paper sentences. HA: Practice the same

  • 3.1 Check and correct HA

  • 3.2 Fun activity: One word from each to make a grammatically correct sentence/story. HA: Reading and comprehension. (Common story and questions)

  • 4.1 Check and correct HA

  • 4.2 Learning and using homophones and homonyms appropriately. Activity same subject. HA: Prepare a presentation. (TBD)

  • 5.1 Review presentations.

  • 5.2 Feedback. HA: Workbook exercises. (Assign specific pages/exercises.)

  • 6.2 Continue with workbook activity. Or Letter writing.

  • 7.2 Reinforce importance of practicing exercises as well as speaking.
