Syllabus:
A practical training session is also included in this course which will give delegates an opportunity to use fire extinguishers or fire blankets on a live fire scenario. All delegates on completion of the course will receive a certificate of attendance.
In 2006, Fire Safety Law changed, making it the responsibility of the owner of all businesses to have a Fire Risk Assessment done on any premises that either the public are likely to visit or where 5 or more people are employed.
A fire safety officer has a variety of responsibilities that aim to minimise the risk of fire and how to keep people safe from fire.
Your employees will learn about the best ways to react to a fire and the proper method to select an appropriate extinguisher. We complete a test at the end of the course to evaluate the knowledge accumulated by attendees.
It is a legal requirement to provide basic fire training to all members of staff. This training must be provided on induction.
