Get a thorough introduction to basic sewing and garment construction skills and theory with this Basic Sewing class!
Over the course, students will become familiar with different machine stitches and their functions and maintenance, the use of chalk, rulers, scissors, & pins, different hand seams and finishes, attaching buttons, hooks & eyes, and elastic, and how to create a project from a concept to a pattern to a finished product.
You can learn on our machines or bring your own! ($25 fee per 6-wk course will be applied if you choose using school's sewing machines)
Fine Print: Your safety and your time spent in our program is important to us! If a class participant has any difficulties in learning, kindly inform the teacher PRIOR to the beginning of the course, so we can adjust program/staff to accommodate - it is very important step to ensure everyone in the class gets the most out of our program and has fun!
