Over the course, students will become familiar with different machine stitches and their functions and maintenance, the use of chalk, rulers, scissors, & pins, different hand seams and finishes, attaching buttons, hooks & eyes, and elastic, and how to create a project from a concept to a pattern to a finished product.
You can learn on our machines or bring your own! ($25 fee per 6-wk course will be applied if you choose using school's sewing machines)
Fine Print: Your safety and your time spent in our program is important to us! If a class participant has any difficulties in learning, kindly inform the teacher PRIOR to the beginning of the course, so we can adjust program/staff to accommodate - it is very important step to ensure everyone in the class gets the most out of our program and has fun! This 4.5 hour class (morning session-break-afternoon session) is designed to give students a basic understanding of the skills and techniques of industrial straight-stitch and overlock sewing machine operation
In each 2-hour class, we will learn and practice 3-4 free motion quilting designs, gradually building the skills and confidence from beginner to advanced level.
