The Beginner’s Face To Face Sewing Classes will soon have you sewing like a professional, even if you’ve never used a sewing machine.
Our cleverly structured classes are easy to follow and can take you from beginner to expert. You will learn on your own sewing machine and become confident enough to continue at home.
We won’t just teach you how to read and follow a pattern. In fact, we won’t even ask you to bring along a pattern and fabric to your first beginner sewing class. Instead, we will teach you how to read a pattern and how fabrics move, before you go out and buy both.
Once you master the basics, you will start learning all the insider secrets that dressmakers use to produce perfectly tailored garments.

Sew n Sew Sewing School is run by Christeen Jacobs, an industry expert with over 30 years of experience in the bridal and evening wear field. Christeen grew up watching her mother, who was a gifted seamstress, to sew and bead beautiful gowns.
“Sewing is an art”, she would tell her, “every seam must be perfect. The inside of the garment should look as good as the outside”. Christeen loved the way her mother.
Could turn a simple picture into a work of art. She followed in her mother’s footsteps, and went on to run her own made-to-measure Bridal and Evening wear business in Sydney for many years.
Sewing classes are offered by Olive Branch Quilts for all skill level. All regular classes $15, please bring your own sewing machine & sewing accessories (scissors, pins etc.)
Our after school classes will introduce a love of sewing to those aged 9 and over, including teenagers. Our students learn a variety of basic skills from hand stitching to machine use and then go on to use that knowledge to create their own project.
This is a bit of fun! The Twisted Log Cabin is rotary cut and machine pieced using Foundation Piecing techniques. Not really suitable for the absolute beginner please.
