Perfect for absolute beginners who have never tried knitting or for those who have a basic knowledge but want to refresh your skills and hang with a bunch of people knitting then this class is for you!!
We will guide you through the basics like how to hold needles and yarn, slip knot, cast on, knit/garter stitch, count stitches and rows, start/stop halfway through a row, purl stitch, change colours and cast off.
Everyone will be guided in casting stitches wide enough to begin a scarf, although 2hrs won't be enough to finish your project you will leave with your piece, needles and some extra wool plus the knowledge and confidence on how to finish your scarf at home!
FYI - Knitting is so addictive, get ready for joy-filled cosy nights knitting away in front of the TV.

Join us on the slow train in our Hand Piecing Classes. This wonderful technique might be slower than a sewing machine however its portability makes up for the lack of speed. You can take your hand piecing with you anywhere!
Our introduction to hand knitting will include topics such as wools & yarns, needles, patterns, gadgets and techniques etc. You will begin by simply learning how to cast on and then learn the basic stitches used by all knitters around the world.
