We appreciate your interest in Aum Performing Arts. The school originally began as Natya Vidyalaya, a Bharathanatyam school established in 1989 at Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India by Smt. Akila Sathyanarayanan, a renowned direct disciple of the legendary Kalaimamani Pakkirisamy Pillai .
Over the years, it grew into one of the most reputed dance schools in Tiruchirapalli, with hundreds of students, more than 250 Arangetrams and various stage performances to its credit.
Since July 2013, the base of operations has grown and shifted to Chennai as Aum Performing Arts, with classes at Kattupakkam in Chennai and 50 more arangetrams to its credit.
Online classes are also going on since the covid-19 situation. School has recommenced offline classes since August 2021.
