The central theme is that system development should be business driven rather than led by technology. It encompasses the view that information systems include business processes as well as information technology.
Target Audience:
Business/Systems Analysts who need to formalize their implicit understanding of their role, accountabilities and activities, Project Managers who incorporate the business analysis role within their functional activities, Business Managers who work within a project environment and who interface with business analysts and project managers.

Basic business and IT knowledge will be to the delegate's advantage.
Course Objectives:
This is very much a hands on course. About 90% of the time is spent on practical work. The principals taught will work on any process or architecture.

Day 1 - Mapping and modelling business process
Day 2 - Mapping and modelling business process
Day 3 - Systems OO design and modelling
Day 4 - Full Project (ability to "practise" what was learned)
Day 5 - Presentation and closure
A process is thus taken from business all the way to systems.
