Java is the premier platform-independent programming language. Java programs can run on Windows, Linux, or Macintosh. Beyond that, Java is the programming language for Java apps. These facts make Java an important programming language.
Java programming is becoming increasingly important, particularly with Java being the language of Android apps. CASE Java will give you the skills you need to write secure Java applications.
The CASE credential tests the critical security skills and knowledge required throughout a typical software development life cycle (SDLC), focusing on the importance of the implementation of secure methodologies and practices in today’s insecure operating environment.
The training program encompasses security activities involved in all phases of the SDLC: planning, creating, testing, and deploying an application.
Unlike other application security training, CASE goes beyond just the guidelines on secure coding practices and includes secure requirement gathering, robust application design, and handling security issues in post-development phases of application development.
Training Includes:
Instructor-led, streaming video training modules: 1-year access
Official EC-Council e-courseware: 1-year access
iLabs, virtual lab platform, 6-month access
Certification exam voucher
Certificate of attendance
Course Outline:
Understanding application security, threats, and attacks
Security requirements gathering
Secure application design and architecture
Secure coding practices for input validation
Secure coding practices for authentication and authorization
Secure coding practices for cryptography
Secure coding practices for session management
Secure coding practices for error handling
Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing (SAST and DAST)
Secure deployment and maintenance
Who is it for?
Java Developers with a minimum of 2 years of experience and individuals who want to become application security engineers, analysts, or testers
Individuals involved in the role of developing, testing, managing, or protecting wide area of applications
Prerequisite:
To be eligible to apply to sit for the CASE Exam, the candidate must either:
Attend the official EC-Council CASE training through an accredited EC-Council Partner or
Be an ECSP (.NET/Java) member in good standing or
Have a minimum of 2 years working experience in the InfoSec/Software domain or
Have any other industry-equivalent certifications, such as GSSP.NET or Java?
ORION is Ontario’s only provincial research and education network. Covering 6,000 kilometres with over 30 points of presence (PoPs), our private network connects regions and over a hundred institutions all over the province, including universities, colleges, hospitals, and research institutions, as well as many of Ontario’s school boards. 1.7 million people in the research and education industry rely on ORION to share and communicate with each other and to connect to a global grid of similar networks across Canada and around the world.
Our long history of providing advanced network solutions has given us the expertise we need to fulfil the digital requirements of Ontario’s research and education community.
We also provide shared access to advanced technology that lowers institutional purchasing costs and reduces duplication of services.
History
ORION was originally created with the support of the Ontario government. ORION is a self-sustaining, not-for-profit organization kicked off by the Ontario government under Premier Harris. We were founded in 2001 (known then as The Optical Regional Advanced Network of Ontario, or ORANO), and our first connection—between Toronto and Sudbury—was completed and tested in 2003. Following that initial success, ORION and the Ontario government invested $32.4 million. Since then, we’ve been a self-sustaining, not-for-profit organization.
Focus
At ORION, supporting our community comes first. As a not-for-profit organization, we’re focused on outcomes, re-investing in the network, and the success of our community, not corporate shareholders. Whether it’s ground-breaking researchers sharing huge amounts of data or students in a classroom using technology to learn, it’s all about Ontario’s progress and economic development.
You’ll learn some key programming structures like data types, operators, branching and looping structures, user-defined methods, and basic data structures.
This course is intended for those interested in careers in software development, system analysis and design, project management, etcObject-oriented (OO) technologies enable software developers to produce more flexible, easily maintainable applications.
This course is designed to cover enhanced topics in MATLAB. Its focus will be using MATLAB in solving complex problems and developing augmented user interfaces.
Students will learn advanced topics in C#, including more code-first aspects, serialization, IO, events, and web services. Students will also use project management fundamentals to work through group projects effectively, including task distribution, tracking, and meeting deadlines.
Python is one of the most in-demand programming languages. This highly readable object-oriented language is both powerful and relatively easy to learn. Whether you're new to programming or an experienced developer, this course can help you get started with Python.
