Fire Industry Training (FiT) offers this qualification for individuals who are already working in the Fire Protection Industry and are wanting to obtain state specific Fire Protection skills. The training is customised to assist in students' industry skills and in addition to improve their employability.
Duration and Structure:
The Qualification is delivered through a variety of title outcomes. Regardless of the option, the qualification is generally completed in approximately 6-months, with all student completing Block 1 – Core Units and then finally completing the Elective Units that are relevant to the chosen enrolment.
Students will be required to complete online learning activities and attend regular web-based classroom sessions, all the time supported by a qualified Trainer. Once all the learning requirements have been achieved and the student is ready for assessment, a 4-6 days Assessment Block is booked.
Units of Competency:
For a student to be awarded this CPP20521 Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing qualification, they must successfully complete 13 units of competency (7 core and 6 elective units):
