The Certificate III in Information Technology provides skills and knowledge for students to become competent in a wide range of general information and communications technologies (ICT) and technical functions. The experience gained in this course enables students to achieve a degree of self-sufficiency as an advanced ICT user.
Students choose from any two of four possible streams and pair these with the compulsory core units to create a tailored program that caters to their strengths and specific interests in ICT.
Pathways:
Students completing this course may seek employment in a range of information technology support roles focused around the two streams they have selected. This could include information technology technicians, client support, web development, networking and cyber security. Students may also seek to undertake further studies in the information and communications technology industry.
