The certificate in the Mental Health program builds a student’s professional skills in the healthcare field. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills they need to assist individuals who have mental health issues.

This program is an introduction to mental health and focuses on Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR). Graduates will understand the key methods available to assist individuals with mental illnesses, helping them adjust in their work and social environments.

If you are already a Health Care Assistant and want to upgrade your credentials, our certificate in community mental health provides graduates with the skills necessary to work in institutes in B.C.

Wages

  • Earn up to $33.00* per hour.
  • All wages taken from the Canada Job Bank
