It is for students who want to start the first level of training as a professional counsellor or who want to learn counselling skills in other professional or helping roles.
This qualification will not teach you how to be a counsellor but it will you decide whether or not you want to train as one and it will give you counselling skills that are useful in a variety of roles e.g. care assistant, key worker, support worker.
It will also help improve your professional and personal relationships as aspects of the cousre enable you to explore your development, awareness, communication and interpersonal skills.
