Britain is a culturally diverse nation that respects and values the differences in people. Companies are legally required to follow a set of practices to ensure discrimination is eradicated and expectations of equality are met. 

A good understanding of the wide-ranging legislation is essential in creating a workplace that is centred on fairness, dignity and respect.

What will I study?

  • Learn the importance of equality and diversity within different contexts
  • Gain an understanding of the different issues affecting equality and diversity in today's society

What qualifications will I get?

  • Level 2 Certificate in Equality & Diversity

How will I be assessed?

  • Assessments will be marked by an allocated tutor who will provide you with detailed feedback. You will be assessed against criteria where all learning outcomes of the course have to be covered; your tutor will give you guidance for this.

What are the entry requirements?

  • No specific entry requirements, but an initial assessment will be completed at enrolment.

What else do I need to know?

  • You must be aged 19+ and be a British or Irish citizen that has lived within the UK for at least 3 years. You must also be based in England; however, some postcode exclusions apply - please enquire for confirmation of eligibility. In addition to this, please note that participants cannot be currently enrolled on an apprenticeship.
