Course Details

The Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of environments. They apply solutions to a specified range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate informationfrom various sources.

They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others. This qualification would suit a WHS officer in a full-time dedicated role who works under the supervision of a WHS Coordinator or WHS Manager.

• Middle managers
• Supervisors.

 

Course Delivery

Learners will be required to complete this qualification within 12 months of enrolment. From enrolment, learners may access PTG’s online learning system for theory based learning and assessment and with Trainer and Assessor email support.

Workbooks will be made available for those who prefer to work with hardcopy documents. This course is delivered through a combination of face-to-face class room and online training and assessment.

The face-to-face component is delivered over a 10 day period and includes up to 12 months for completion enabling candidates time to demonstrate competency. Competency may be achieved using distance based written and/or electronic delivery and assessment.
