Chemical Safety

Chemical Safety course is offered by British Safety Council. A short, tailored course allows you to build a one or two-day course that meets your business needs. You choose what you need and we deliver. We keep people as safe and healthy as possible in their work through education and practical guidance.

Learning Outcomes:

• Identify various substances that are hazardous to health, possible routes of entry and the effects on the body
• Know the main requirements of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
• Regulations 2002 and the duties it imposes on employers, employees and the self employed
• Recognise chemical and biological hazards associated with a wide range of activities and situations
• Understand the factors to be considered when completing a COSHH risk assessment
• Identify the main control measures used to prevent exposure to hazardous substances.
