This qualification is now the must-have qualification and leads to a licence to practise and the status of being an Early Years Educator. It will enable you to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.
You will also have the opportunity to gain additional qualifications such as Paediatric First Aid. This is a work-related course so work placements are a key part of your study.
You will take part in placements working with children of different ages in a variety of settings for two days per week as ell as longer block placements during the year.

The curriculum at Longley Park Sixth Form has been specifically designed to be accessible to all. We offer a learning experience that meets the needs of all students including the most able, those with low prior attainment, young people from areas of high disadvantage, young people for whom English is a second or additional language, those with complex needs, and students previously not in education.

The objective of this qualification is to support learners as they develop their knowledge, understanding and skills when caring for and supporting the learning and development of children aged 0–11 years & 11 months.
This two-year Level 6 Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) course is for those who wish to complete their formal Further Education (FE) teaching qualification.
Our WSET Level 3 Award in Wines course is for those that have already gained WSET Level 2 wine knowledge or equivalent and want to take their learning further.
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) is the introductory teaching qualification for teaching adults or training adults in a college or further educational or working environment. You are not required to be teaching already as this course will give you a foundation of knowledge.
Whether you want to work with children as a fully qualified early years practitioner in an early years setting, progress to university to train as a teacher or progress to another field within the early years sector this is the right course for you.
