In the Children’s Sewing Class, beginning and intermediate students will learn how to use their machine, take measurements , lay out and cut fabric, read a pattern, understand the pattern directions, finish seams and learn sewing techniques. Students will advance at their own pace.
DurationBeginning Students The supply list will be sent out once you register, along with a video on how to choose a commercial sewing pattern. You can choose from pajama pants/shorts, tote bag, simple elastic waist skirt or any simple sewing pattern (no zippers or buttonholes). You can purchase a pattern or use the tote bag pattern available in class.
Each session will be 5 weeks with each class being 2 hours, for a total of 10 hours. Cost is $125. You must sign up one week before the start of class and payment made online when you register.

Sewing Classes are offered by Austin Sewing Machines and Quilting. Austin Sewing was first established in 1953, over 65 years ago! The oldest in Central Texas and long time leader in the industry.
In this two-hour beginner class you will learn all the basics of a sewing machine. You may bring your own machine or use one of ours if you haven't purchased one and are thinking you may want to. By the end of class you will have made a standard size bed pillowcase or a set of two napkins.
This class is for beginning to intermediate students, ages 8 - 13. We will teach students how to use their machine and make a project each month. Please check with us for details on each month's project.
Sewing class is offered by Valley West Sewing for all skill level.Â
Students ages 8 – 12 explore the fashion design process as they learn fashion illustration, pattern making, sewing, textile and jewelry design skills in just 4 OR 8 week classes. All students are welcome to participate in the KSOF Annual Fashion Show in May to showcase their hard work.
