Tasting and making your own chocolate truffles, preparing, flavouring & shaping the fillings, tempering, enrobing & decorating the chocolates with colourful ingredients.
Intended for individual bookings, it's a 2h30-3h session on Saturday morning at Melange Chocolate shop, where you will learn in depth about chocolate processes and use professional techniques; tasting and making your own chocolate truffles, preparing, flavouring & shaping the fillings, tempering, enrobing & decorating the chocolates with colourful ingredients.
Melange Chocolate Shop & Cocktail bar is a beautiful chocolate oasis filled with all of Melange’s usual goodies and its trademark, exquisitely decadent ambience. Artisan chocolatier Isabelle Alaya founded her Melange Chocolate Shop and Café in Peckham in 2008, on the cosmopolitan Bellenden Road, moved to 2 Maxted Road in 2016 and is now developing a Cocktail and Wine bar.
Since then, Isabelle has built upon her business, establishing a reputation making speciality award-winning hand-made chocolate bars and truffles characterised by an eclectic combination of spices, herbs and fruits.
The Cocktail bar is still on hold but cocktails are inspired by these amazing flavours and served with chocolate bites. Her legendary and closely guarded recipe for Melange hot chocolate has even been rated top 10 in London and has been recommended by many newspapers.
On this short course, juniors will learn to create some tasty, sweet treats. They will master lots of core culinary skills to help enhance their kitchen confidence. Juniors will also get to experiment with different flavours and ingredients- an important skill when it comes to being in the kitchen.
Each session starts with everyone cooking together and then we enjoy a snack and have some time to play whilst the food cooks. Everything you create will be packaged up for the cooks to take home and proudly share!
At our chocolate workshops, you will immerse yourself in the magical world of La Chocolatrice and the sights, smells and, most importantly, tastes of French chocolateries.
Book your child’s place at our ‘Cocoa Beach Party’, a tropical beach adventure where children become “Chocolate Explorers” creating their own beach-themed chocolate artwork (on a chocolate bar).
You will learn how to create beautiful seasonal chocolate truffles, some flavoured chocolate bark and nut rochers. The last part of the class will be about how to pack and gift wrap your wonderful creations.
