At Forte, you will learn how to understand the language of music. Your musical senses: hearing (aural), feeling for beat & time (rhythm), music reading and writing (theory), will develop along with the knowledge of how all of these combine together to make music. Through your musical development at Forte, you will discover how to express your inner feelings and creativity through music and how to write your own compositions.
Forte School of Music started in 1993 in Australia when two music educators saw the need for music lessons that were fun as well as educationally sound. The first UK school opened in June 2000 in Cardiff and since opening the demand for lessons has soared with hundreds of music-mad youngsters now regularly attending lessons.

Forte offers both class and one-to-one lessons. Learning with others in a family or group is the most natural way for young children to learn. There are many delights and benefits from learning with others in a group at all ages and stages but if a private lesson is preferred, then it is best to wait until your child is at least 7 years of age.

The physical ability to comfortably reach and cover the lower keys of the instrument with the fingers is a prerequisite.
Clarinet classes are offered by Christchurch School Of Music. The clarinet enjoys great popularity for many reasons. It is a wonderfully portable and versatile instrument played in many different styles of music.
Learning an instrument is the brains equivalent of a full body work out. The earlier you start the bigger the benefits. These include increased memory, problem solving and literacy.
Clarinet classes are offered by Rotorua Music School. You are able to request a preferred day of the week, we will co-ordinate lesson times where possible.
