Epsom Music School was established in 1996 by a group of Auckland Philharmonia musicians under the leadership of Tatiana Lanchtchikova. EMS provides musical tuition for children of any age with an aim to give strong musical education whether as a future professional musician or otherwise.

In 2018 a new partnership was formed between Epsom Music School and ACG Parnell College - Epsom Music School - Parnell Academy

Exams preparation and regular concert performances are seen as a highly important part of our pupils’ education. Priority is given in creating an artistic personality for each young musician.

EMS ‘s students have various ethnic backgrounds from many countries and the school is very proud of its international atmosphere, which reflects the multicultural NZ. We welcome you to our School!

Today at EMS - Parnell Academy pupils are given an opportunity of mastering Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Recorder, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Piano, Accordion, Guitar, as well as having group lessons in Music Theory, Sol-fa training and Chamber Ensembles

Elsa is an active freelance musician and experienced teacher since arriving New Zealand in 2005. She performs with Bach Musica and Auckland Chamber Orchestra in Auckland. As principal clarinet, Elsa regularly performs with the Festival Opera and Hawkes Bay Orchestra at Napier, she also had a great fun playing principal with Orchestra Wellington for their recording project before the Covid Lock Down. In addition, Elsa really enjoys all the performances with NBR Opera Tour, and several chamber music works and Musicals items at the Auckland Festival.
