This summer, we’re offering our five-part Art of Baking & Pastry series for teens ages 13-17! These fun and approachable classes explore the fundamentals of baking and pastry and is taught by our Executive Pastry Chef. This course is great for beginners as well as the experienced home baker.
This summer, we’re offering our five-part Art of Baking & Pastry series for teens ages 13-17! These fun and approachable classes explore the fundamentals of baking and pastry and is taught by our Executive Pastry Chef. This course is great for beginners as well as the experienced home baker.
You’ll learn core techniques and guidelines that will make you a more accomplished and confident baker. Each morning will begin with making breakfast and end with a chef-prepared lunch. Teens ages 13-17 are welcome to sign up for this course. Please note that a parent or guardian must attend with them on the first day of class in order to sign a release form.
They will be asked to stay for the first ten minutes of class to hear an explanation of policy and procedure as well as leave contact information. All of our Classic Techniques classes can be applied directly towards the cost of tuition for our Professional Culinary Program- learn more here.

Learn to make the delicious French puff pastry, the Mille-Feuille, also known as Napoleon! The preparation of the mille-feuille includes the special folding technique, making a light custard cream, and of course, baking.
Come to JAX Cooking Studio to learn more about some popular French pastries! Our pastry chef will teach you to make amazingly versatile pâte à choux dough.
Learn the practical and theoretical techniques of pastry arts from working with dough to plating restaurant quality desserts during this concentrated 16-week program.
