In this course, participants will learn to understand the importance of interpersonal skills in becoming a leader, be able to convey believability by keeping their verbal, vocal and visual communications consistent, practice the nine behavioral skills of interpersonal communication, and change their habits to improve their interpersonal effectiveness.
The content is applicable whether participants are in a leadership or not.

Mark W. Osmond B.Voc. Ed, CD
Mark Osmond worked with Human Resources Development Canada as a training and development specialist for twenty three years before retiring in June 1995. He then established himself as a training and human resources consultant. He has facilitated training courses in the areas of supervisory and management skills, coping with and managing change, presentation and training skills, career planning, coaching and counselling. He has also worked as an employee assistance program counsellor and organizational development consultant.
Mark has a Bachelors Degree in vocational education, a dertificate in public administration and a certificate in adult education as well as graduate courses in educational psychology, guidance and counselling. Mark recently retired from the Canadian Armed Forces. He served in both the regular and reserve force for 29 years. He participated in numerous leadership and management courses during his career.
He is presently President of the 36 Newfoundland Service Battalion Association, a director with the Army Cadet League of Canada and past president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Professional Trainers.
Students will complete the course with a clearly established plan on next steps in achieving their career objective.
During this session, participants will be inspired to re-ignite their careers, access tactics to leverage their strengths, and build successful careers.
