What Is A Community Services Worker?
Community services workers (CSWs) support people with social and personal problems. They help clients set goals, overcome challenges, and live healthier, happier lives.
CSWs work with many different groups and populations, including:

Herzing College began as Herzing Institute in February of 1965. Initially the institution was dedicated to computer technology training, but over the years, the college has expanded its breadth of career-focused education and has expanded geographically to include campus locations across the country.

This is accomplished through the innovative use of teaching technologies and experienced faculty. Included in these career-oriented programs are educational methodologies and materials to promote the development of teamwork, communication skills, and the personal attributes valued by employers.
Black CAP’s Community Outreach Program shares HIV and other STI information with ACB heterosexual youth (age 16 to 29) and adult (age 30 years and over) who are at risk for HIV/AIDS.
As more employers upgrade their computer systems and software programs, the labour market for skilled individuals who possess a good general knowledge of an assortment of programs grows. Such employees are an integral part of today’s business office.
Citi College offers a 40-week diploma program as a Community Service Worker. This program will focus on providing students with the practical skills to create, implement and oversee several different social programs.
Students in the 44-week program will gain a fundamental understanding of psychology, pharmacology, ethics, and communications. They also learn about the fundamentals of addiction and its impact on high risk populations, youth and families.
