Learning Methods:
The mode of delivery for this course is face to face in a classroom environment as well as significant practical elements outside of the classroom. In the delivery of this course, our trainers focus on providing an individualised adult learning environment that considers the learner’s experience and employment history.
Theory is presented in a supportive learner centered environment designed to provide functional theoretical knowledge that is directly applicable to real world tasks.
Learning materials provided include the Harness student handbook and participants will be advised in advance of attending the course if there are any materials to be provided by them.
The assessment for this course has been designed to assess the individual to the Australian Qualification Framework, relevant Training Package, Australian and Industry expectations, as well as Commonwealth and State Legislation.

Demonstrating knowledge of the below areas is necessary when conducting lifting operations:
Identifying appropriate approved scheme of training
Identifying and complying with site and equipment safety requirements
Determining and complying with equipment characteristics, technical capabilities and limitations
Identifying and complying with operational and maintenance procedures
Identifying, using and interpreting hand signals
Identifying and reporting potential hazards

Our 5-hour course is designed to provide the framework for personnel who issue work permits and to ensure that they understand the permit system, know the limitations of each permit and make decisions regarding the need for and correct use of each permit.
The course covers a range of topics, including pre-operational checks, operational techniques, load and haul procedures, shut down and secure equipment, and hazard identification and risk management.
Advanced Industry Training is now approved to deliver the Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) approved Health and Safety Representative (HSR) training.
An integral part of an effective emergency management program is to have a pro-active Emergency Planning Committee (EPC) that oversees the emergency management at the site.
The HR Road Ranger training and assessment generally takes approximately 2 full days to complete and is intended for persons who wish to drive a rigid truck with three (3) or more axles.
