The Confined Space Awareness Course is based on the requirements of the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011, the Confined Space Code of Practice and Australian Standard AS2865.
It provides an overview of what Confined Spaces are, the Work Health and Safety requirements and hazards associated with Confined Spaces. This course does not provide any Entry, Breathing Apparatus or Rescue qualifications.

Delivery
The course is delivered over a 4 hour period (usually this is the opening 4 hours of the 2 Day Enter and Work in Confined Spaces course). Training is delivered face to face including both theory and practical components with a strong emphasis on the practical application of skills.
Award and Recognition
Successful participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance in Confined Space Awareness. Qualification is issued by Emergency Management Services.
