Christa Boulton is an experienced trainer/facilitator/public speaker, with diplomas in Educational Psychology, Workplace Safety and Health, Safety and Health in Construction, as well as having logged hundreds of hours of program specific training.
Our program provides training prescribed by legislation that the employee may obtain the ability to operate equipment in a safe, competent manner in their work environment and around other employees.
In addition to reviewing the rules for safe driving, the goal of this operator training is to teach, among others, the different categories of forklifts depending on the workplace and to explain the centre of gravity, the lifting capacity and the different sources of power.
Participants are introduced to the many sources of energy in a workplace and how each can be hazardous and sometimes fatal to exposed workers. They will discuss the basic concepts of lockout as a method of producing a “zero energy state”.
ISO 45001 Foundation Course enables participant to learn about the best practices for implementing and managing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) as specified in ISO 45001.
This course is ideal for both new and experienced operators, as it is designed to reinforce the importance of proper safety and material handling techniques.
