Confined Space Level 1 Operational

The intent of this course is to provide the learner with information about hazards and hazard control measures and procedures that will permit safe work inside confined spaces.

 

Course Objectives

Learner objectives for this course are;

  • recognize common terms associated with confined space work

  • identify the duties and responsibilities of personnel involved with confined space work.

  • distinguish between permit-required confined space,non-confined space permit required spaces

  • identify, mitigate and control hazards associated with confined space work

  • identify hazardous atmospheres, and equipment used to detect and monitor them

  • recognize signs and symptoms of overexposure

  • identify the necessary equipment to be used in confined space entries

  • specify safe entry procedures for confined spaces

  • recognize permit entry, signs and posting of confined space entry
