We opened in the fall of 2012 to become the third Dance Plus location. Every child should look back on their dance experience with wonderful memories. We are happy to offer the community the opportunity to take part in the Canadian Dance Teachers Association exam program under the certified instruction of owner Amy Croteau.
In a calm atmosphere, participants learn contemporary style choreography by developing their flexibility and agility
Dancers must have a strong background in technical dance such as ballet and jazz as contemporary borrows movements from these formal genres. Modern elements are added to contemporary choreography such as torso contractions, floor work, and improvisation.
Contemporary Dance course is offered by Dance Studio East. It is our mission to provide our students with quality instruction so they can attain a level of professionalism without leaving the province.
This class will only be offered to students who have several years of strong technique in ballet or jazz.
This program is for the student who is looking for a program to further develop their training at a higher intensity. Â Students will be prepared for competitions in the disciplines they are taking. Participation in workshops and clinics are expected to help improve their overall skill.
