DurationContemporary Dance is a cross between, ballet, jazz and modern dance. Weekly exercises are done at the barre, in the centre and across the room. A dance routine is also practised weekly.
Piqué Dance Studio International Incorporated is a Canadian Corporation that was formed in 1997 and is under the direction of Koryn MacArthur. We are very pleased to have a wonderful teaching team comprised of new and long-time staff members.
We are excited to offer 80 classes per week during the school calendar year and a summer dance camp and evening dance class program. In 2005 the studio moved to its present location in South Pointe Village in Manotick across from St. Mark High School.
During the school year we offer classes during the day, in the evenings and on weekends in examination, recreational and competitive areas as well as adult fitness and dance classes. In the summer we run 9 weeks of daytime dance camp and evening dance classes that run to capacity.
The camps are offered every week of the summer and the focus of our summer camp program is fun. The intensive camp is for dancers who are looking to be challenged and occurs towards the end of August. It is taught by special guest teachers from across the U.S. and Canada.
Dancers aged 12 and up will receive a 45 min. class once a week. Lyrical dance is a style that combines ballet and jazz dancing techniques. It is performed to music with lyrics so that it inspires expression of strong emotions the choreographer feels from the lyrics of the song.
Dansons Corps is a time to become aware, to feel, to create, to express yourself, to let go, to energize yourself, to relax, to play and to dance
Combines jazz technique with modern skills to create interpretive movement, expression and emotional quality, as seen on So You Think You Can Dance.
Contemporary Dance classes are offered by City Dance Corps. Whether you're brand new to dance or a seasoned professional, we pride ourselves in creating an environment free of judgement and catered to your comfort level.
Contemporary dance classes are offered by Dance Unlimited. Class placement is based on age, technique, progress and strength.
