Characterized by the fluidity of the gestures, the specific use of the trunk and the particular relationship with the ground, contemporary dance is performed on varied rhythms. At Cadence, contemporary dance is inspired by several modern dance techniques such as Graham and Limón techniques
Contemporary Dance bridges the gap between jazz and ballet, offering a fluid movement style and encouraging creative thinking. This form of dance often shares emotive storylines, encouraging students to express themselves through movements.
This class is essential in the development of students in the Senior and Control PDP level programs.
Our teachers are passionate about this genre, and students love to work as a team to develop concepts for the audience to enjoy and appreciate! For our serious dancer, consider this as a major piece of your dancing journey!
