Controlling Of Hazardous And Dangerous Goods

The National Road Traffic Act (NRTA) requires that training is provided to ensure that all employees who load transport or unload dangerous goods and substances in excess of the exempt quantity, are competent and specifically trained for the tasks they perform.

Learners accredited with this unit standard, namely handling hazardous chemical substances (Hazmat) will, on completion of the training course, be able to monitor, advise and report on the scope and understanding of the specified requirements regarding hazardous substances in the workplace. 

This course will provide successful learners with the necessary tools and skills to enable them to carry out hazard and risk assessments in their workplace.
